What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils in literacy and numeracy activities, helping them grasp instructions and stay focused. 🧠
  • Building strong, positive relationships with students and acting as a great role model. ✨
  • Getting classrooms ready for lessons and tidying up afterwards. 📚
  • Adhering to all school policies and procedures, especially safeguarding. 🛡️
  • Supervising pupils to ensure their safety and engagement in learning. 👀
  • Assisting pupils with using resources, including ICT. 💻
  • Supporting the delivery of individual education and behaviour plans. 📝
  • Reporting on pupil progress and achievements to teachers. 📈
  • Highlighting any pupil issues or behavioural challenges to the teacher. 🗣️
  • Assisting with pupils' personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, and welfare. ❤️
  • Joining school trips and helping with activities. 🚌
  • Handling routine administrative tasks like bulk photocopying. 📄

Key responsibilities

  • Provide general support with learning activities
