You'll be diving headfirst into our high-tech workshop, getting hands-on training in CNC machining, including both milling and turning. We'll teach you the ins and outs of setting, operating, and programming our HAAS machining and turning centres. Plus, you'll get to master Autodesk CAD/CAM software to create programmes for making super-precise components. 💻
As you level up your skills and experience, your responsibilities will include:
- Learning to set, operate, and program CNC milling and turning machines.
- Working with HAAS machining and turning centres.
- Using Autodesk CAD/CAM software to create machining programmes.
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications. 📜
- Choosing and using the right cutting tools and machining methods.
- Measuring and checking components to make sure they're spot on. ✅
- Understanding different engineering materials and how to machine them.
- Helping to make one-off parts, prototypes, and batch productions.
- Exploring conventional machining and toolmaking techniques.
- Performing regular checks and basic maintenance on our machines. ⚙️
