What's Virtual Finance? Think of it as companies handing over their money-management tasks (like payroll ๐งพ, VAT returns ๐, bookkeeping โ๏ธ, and making sense of financial reports ๐) to awesome third-party experts. You'll be right in the thick of it!
Your Role: Youโll be a vital part of our Virtual Finance squad, diving straight into preparing, recording, and processing financial data. ๐ป Expect to get hands-on with monthly management accounts and VAT returns from day one. What You'll Be Doing:
- Working as part of the Virtual Finance team while smashing the AAT Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications. ๐
- Gaining diverse experience across a range of clients. ๐
- Learning from and interacting with senior managers and partners. ๐ผ
Your Journey (The Nitty-Gritty):
Year 1:
- Master the fundamentals of bookkeeping: Posting invoices and bank transactions. ๐ฆ
- Utilise cool software solutions to streamline processes. โจ
- Get to grips with VAT and take ownership of preparing and submitting smaller VAT returns. ๐ค
Year 2:
- Level up with more complex tasks: calculating and posting month-end journals (think depreciation, accruals, prepayments). โ๏ธ
- Prepare month-end reporting packs and help create supporting commentary for clients. ๐
- Support junior apprentices and act as a buddy for new starters. ๐
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, record, and process data within financial systems.
- Complete monthly management accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Calculate and post month-end journals.
- Prepare month-end reporting packs and supporting commentary.
