Are you ready to kickstart your career in data management and IT? We're looking for a sharp, organized, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Data Technician Apprentice! This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn valuable skills, and work towards a Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship standard.

What you'll be doing:

  • Keeping our pupil, parent, and staff records on iSAMS super accurate and up-to-date. 📝
  • Being the go-to person for staff questions about iSAMS, offering friendly support and basic training. 👋
  • Helping us through the annual rollover process, from timetables to class assignments and getting ready for the new academic year. 🗓️
  • Generating important reports (attendance, assessment, census, etc.) with guidance from our Data Manager and IT Department. 📈
  • Assisting with the creation of pupil reports, hitting those termly deadlines. 💯
  • Teaming up with our IT Department on system integrations, user accounts, permissions, and fixing any technical glitches. 💻
  • Ensuring we're compliant with UK GDPR, keeping all records secure and protected. 🔒
  • Helping with admissions data entry and making sure information flows smoothly between teams. ✉️
  • Completing all your apprenticeship training and coursework, attending college or training sessions as scheduled. 📚
  • Taking on other reasonable administrative and data tasks as needed. 💪

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the accuracy of pupil, parent and staff records.
  • Act as a first point of contact for staff queries and provide basic training.
  • Produce routine and ad hoc reports under guidance.
  • Work alongside the IT Department on system integrations and troubleshooting.
  • Undertake all required off-the-job training and coursework for the apprenticeship.
