What You'll Be Doing:

  • Yard Upkeep: Keep our stable area spotless and organized โ€“ from mucking out stalls to maintaining general tidiness. ๐Ÿงน
  • Feeding & Watering: Ensure all our equine athletes are well-fed and hydrated, including expertly filling hay nets and water buckets. ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’ง
  • Turnout & Stabling: Confidently turn horses out into paddocks and bring them back in, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Daily Care: Handle essential grooming, including picking out feet, rugging up, and ensuring horses are comfortable. ๐Ÿ›
  • Tack & Prep: Maintain tack in top condition and prepare horses for exercise and events. ๐Ÿง
  • Bathing & Show Readiness: Get our horses looking their best with expert bathing and show preparation. โœจ
  • Training & Exercise: Assist with lunging and long-reining, and potentially ride for the right candidate. ๐Ÿ‡
  • Health & Wellness: Support our horses during visits from the farrier, vet, and dentist. โš•๏ธ
  • Race Day Support: Accompany horses to races, contributing to a smooth and successful event. ๐Ÿ

Key responsibilities

  • Perform daily yard maintenance and feeding duties
  • Execute routine horse handling, including turning out, rugging, grooming, and tacking up
  • Maintain horse tack and equipment through cleaning
  • Assist with advanced horse care and training, such as bathing, show preparation, and lunging
  • Support horse exercise and transportation activities, including riding (for suitable candidates) and accompanying horses to races
