What you'll be doing:

  • Helping us unpack and organise medicine deliveries 📦
  • Keeping our stock organised and ensuring medicines are fresh (bye-bye, waste! 👋)
  • Assisting patients at reception, processing payments, and managing prescriptions 🗂️
  • Learning to accurately dispense and label medicines 👩‍⚕️
  • Using our pharmacy computer system to find info and print labels 💻
  • Answering patient and staff questions with a smile 😊
  • Keeping our filing systems shipshape 📂
  • Helping with ordering and managing medicine supplies 🛒
  • Being a flexible and supportive team player 🙌
  • Keeping everything confidential, always! 🤫
  • Attending team meetings and training sessions 🧑‍🏫
  • Completing all your training, including Functional Skills if needed, and statutory/mandatory trust training 📚
  • Following Health & Safety rules and trust policies like a pro ✅

Key responsibilities

  • Undertake basic dispensary duties, including handling medicine deliveries and stock management.
  • Provide support to pharmacy reception, processing payments, filing paperwork, and taking prescriptions.
  • Train to competently dispense and label medicines for inpatient use and utilise the pharmacy computer system.
  • Answer and manage patient and staff queries, both face-to-face and via telephone, and relay messages appropriately.
  • Complete all required training and assessments, adhere to organisational policies, and maintain strict confidentiality.

Entry requirements

Essential qualifications (Essential oGood command of the English language and numerate Desirable 4 GCSEs D grade or above.)
