What You'll Be Doing:
- Empowering Pupils: Provide essential support to students, teachers, and the curriculum. You'll be leading engaging learning activities, both indoors and outdoors, for individuals and groups. ๐๏ธ
- Fostering Inclusion: Work hand-in-hand with qualified teachers and other pros to ensure every child feels welcomed and fully integrated into our school community. ๐ค
- Monitoring Progress: Keep a close eye on pupil development, progress, and achievements. You'll record their learning journey and flag any challenges to teachers or senior staff. ๐
- Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Collaborate with colleagues to plan and review exciting learning activities with the teaching staff. ๐ง
- Independent Support: Confidently work with individual students, small groups, and key worker groups under the guidance of the Head Teacher and Deputy/Assistant Head Teacher.
- Resourceful & Creative: Select and adapt learning resources and methods to make sure agreed learning activities are a hit! โจ
- Safe & Sound: Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy learning space for everyone. ๐งผ
- Well-being Champion: Offer ongoing guidance and support to pupils as they develop socially and emotionally, reporting any concerns to the right people. โค๏ธ
- Curriculum Access: Provide specialist support, as directed by teaching staff, to help pupils access the curriculum and reach their full potential. ๐
- Adventure Ready: Accompany teaching staff and take responsibility for pupils on exciting visits, trips, and out-of-school activities. ๐
- Supervision Star: Assist with supervising pupils during non-lesson times, including before and after school and during lunch breaks.
- Display Designer: Help prepare and present eye-catching displays that showcase student achievements. ๐ผ๏ธ
- Pastoral Care: Offer dedicated pastoral care to children, ensuring their emotional well-being is a priority.
- First Aid Friend: Provide basic first aid support. (Note: Administering medication may be required subject to agreement and school policy. ๐ฉน)
- Flexible & Adaptable: Be ready to jump in and help wherever needed within the school's working practices โ your flexibility is key!
- Independence Builder: Support pupils in developing their independence, resilience, and confidence. ๐ช
- Support Plan Contributor: Assist in the planning, organising, and implementing of individual development plans, support plans, Individual Educational Plans (IEPs), and Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plans.
- ICT Advocate: Support the use of ICT in the curriculum, helping students navigate digital learning. ๐ป
- Policy Shaper: Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.

- Safety First: Be aware of and comply with policies related to child protection/safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting any concerns promptly. ๐ก๏ธ

Key responsibilities
- Deliver learning activities and support pupil development, independence, and well-being.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil development, progress, and attainment.
- Supervise individuals and groups of pupils throughout the day, including during out of lesson times and school activities, and provide pastoral care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy learning environment, adhering to school policies and health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to planning activities and the overall school ethos.
