About the role

Learning Support Assistant 🧑‍🎓📚

We're looking for passionate individuals to join our team as Learning Support Assistants! You'll be working directly with students to help them smash their academic goals and thrive in college life. 🚀

What you'll be doing:

  • Creating and implementing personalised Additional Learning Support (ALS) Plans based on student, family, and professional feedback. ✍️
  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to help students overcome learning challenges. 💪
  • Helping students get involved in all college activities and building their independent learning skills. 🌟
  • Offering personal care and medical support as needed, following care plans. 🤝
  • Collaborating with our SEND Lead to ensure students have the best assistive tech and digital tools available. 💻
  • Teaming up with teaching staff to adapt learning materials for individual student needs. 🎨
  • Keeping accurate records of support and student progress on our tracking system. 📊
  • Assisting with student Annual Reviews and liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies. 🗣️
  • Providing support during public exams and formal assessments. 📝

Key responsibilities

  • Write and implement Additional Learning Support (ALS) Plans for students.
