Ready to make a real impact? We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Learning Support Assistants! You'll be working directly with students aged 18+ to help them thrive.
What you'll be doing:
- Crafting and putting into action personalized learning support plans for your students, using insights from students and their families. βοΈ
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to help students conquer any learning challenges. π
- Helping students get involved in all college activities and build awesome study habits for independent success. π
- Assisting with personal care and medical needs as outlined in student care plans. β€οΈ
- Teaming up with our SEND Lead to ensure students have the best tech and digital tools to learn. π»
- Collaborating with teachers to adapt learning materials so everyone can succeed. π§βπ«
- Keeping detailed records of support and student progress on our college system. π
- Helping out at student annual reviews. π€
- Communicating with parents/carers and external agencies when needed. π
- Supporting students during public exams and formal assessments. π―

Key responsibilities
- Use relevant professional feedback and input from students and their families to write and implement high-quality Additional Learning Support (ALS) Plans.
- Provide regular support for an identified caseload of students, either 1:1 or in small groups to enable them to overcome barriers to learning.
- Support students to participate in all aspects of college activity and to develop their study skills and strategies for independent learning.
- Collaborate and work closely with teaching staff to adapt and differentiate learning materials to meet individual student needs.
- Provide and maintain records of support provision and outcomes for each supported student on the college tracking system.
