What You'll Be Doing:
- Purchase Power: 🛒 Manage the purchase ledger by creating and processing purchase orders on our finance system. You'll be the go-to for checking, coding, and processing supplier invoices and credit notes. Plus, you'll be communicating with suppliers to place orders and sort out any invoice puzzles. Get ready to reconcile those supplier statements!
- Sales Superstar: 💰 Own the sales ledger! You'll be raising sales invoices and recording all incoming income, from lettings to trips and catering. Keep an eye on those outstanding debts and help chase down any overdue payments.
- Banking & Balancing: 🏦 Help with bank reconciliations and accurately process and reconcile purchase card and petty cash transactions. Keeping our financial records tidy and ready for audit is key!
- Reporting Ready: 📊 Lend a hand with month-end tasks like journals, accruals, and prepayments. You'll also assist in creating budget monitoring reports for our budget holders and support VAT returns, year-end processes, and external audit prep.
- Finance Friend: 🤝 Be the first point of contact for finance questions from staff, suppliers, and parents. Uphold our school's financial procedures and regulations, and provide essential administrative support to the whole finance team.

Key responsibilities
