About the role

✨ Apprentice Creative Industries Production Technician (Live Event Specialist) ✨

Ready to dive headfirst into the electrifying world of live events? 🎶 DMX Productions is on the hunt for a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Creative Industries Production Technician, specializing in Live Event Technology! This isn't just a job; it's your launchpad for a career, blending hands-on experience with remote study for your Level 3 Creative Industries Production Technician Apprenticeship. 🚀

You'll get to grips with all things production – think video, lighting, and audio – but we'll be focusing your daily grind on mastering video and lighting techniques. 💡🎥 Based in our busy warehouse and out on event sites, you'll be the go-to for prepping, setting up, running, and taking down our technical gear. You'll have the best mentors guiding you, and as you grow, so will your responsibilities. 💪

What You'll Be Doing:

📦 Warehouse Warrior:

  • Get equipment ready, test it out, make sure it's spick and span, and store it safely. 🧽
  • Pick and pack gear using lists, specs, and plans. 📦
  • Help with stock, basic fixes, and maintenance (with guidance, of course!). 🛠️
  • Assist with packing up trucks, loading/unloading, and keeping the warehouse looking sharp. 🚚

📍 Event-Site Superstar:

  • Help set up, configure, test, and take down technical systems at awesome venues and client spots. 🏟️
  • Get involved with building and operating video systems, from LEDs to projectors. ✨
  • Assist with lighting setups and, as you level up, control systems too. 💡
  • Lend a hand with audio setup, patching, checks, and soundchecks. 🎤
  • Keep an eye on equipment during rehearsals and shows, helping fix any hiccups. 👀

🚨 Safety First & Professional Vibes:

  • Follow all health and safety rules, venue policies, and safe working practices. 🛡️
  • Rock that PPE! Only tackle safety-critical tasks when you're trained, supervised, and ready. ✅
  • Look after yourself, your colleagues, and all the gear. Report anything dodgy immediately. 🚩
  • Be reliable, flexible, and ready for travel and the dynamic schedule of live events. ✈️

Are you:

  • 18 years old or over?
  • Eager to learn and build a career in live events?
  • Ready for a hands-on, fast-paced environment?

  • Support the operation and monitoring of video, lighting, and audio systems during rehearsals and events.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements, venue rules, and safe working procedures.
