Who you'll be working with:

  • Children attending the club and their parents/carers ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ
  • Management, club staff, and volunteers ๐Ÿค
  • Schools, childcare, and play organisations ๐Ÿซ
  • Registering authorities ๐Ÿ“œ

Your Mission:

  • Assist the Setting Manager in planning, prepping, and delivering quality play experiences in a safe and nurturing space. ๐ŸŽจ
  • Provide excellent care for children, including safely collecting them from school and handing them over to parents or carers. ๐ŸŽ’
  • Support and guide Playworkers and volunteers when needed. ๐Ÿ‘
  • Set up play areas, including moving furniture and equipment. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ
  • Serve refreshments and maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety. ๐ŸŽ
  • Administer first aid if you're trained and it's necessary. ๐Ÿฉน
  • Chat with the children and involve them in planning activities! ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ
  • Boost parental involvement in the club. ๐Ÿ’–
  • Foster positive working relationships with the school. ๐Ÿซ
  • Ensure smooth communication with colleagues, parents, schools, and related agencies. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ
  • Undertake relevant training to level up your skills. ๐Ÿ“š
  • Keep the work environment healthy, safe, and secure. โœ…
  • Adhere to club policies, procedures, and the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. ๐Ÿ“
  • Support Ofsted inspections when required. ๐Ÿง

Key responsibilities

  • Help with planning, preparing, and delivering quality play opportunities
  • Provide comprehensive care for children, including collection from school and safe delivery to parents/carers
  • Set up the play space, including moving furniture and play equipment
  • Provide refreshments and ensure hygiene, health, and safety standards are met
  • Work within the framework of the clubโ€™s policies and procedures
