Facilities Maintenance Assistant 🛠️✨
Are you ready to jumpstart your career and keep things running smoothly? We're looking for a motivated Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our Services Team! This is your chance to get hands-on experience and contribute to keeping our buildings and grounds in top-notch condition. 🏡🌳
What you'll be doing:
- Keeping things in order: Help us ensure all buildings, grounds, fittings, and technical equipment are maintained to the highest standards, following all the rules and best practices. 📏✅
- Team player: Work closely with the Services Team and site management to make sure all services, equipment, and buildings are looked after and meet all legal requirements. 🤝💯
- Getting hands dirty (the good kind!): Undertake general maintenance tasks across our sites. This could include basic plumbing 💧, equipment upkeep (we'll provide training for things like nursing beds! 🛏️), painting and decorating 🎨, basic carpentry 🔨, ground work 🌿, changing light bulbs 💡, and cleaning gutters 🍂.
- Safety first: Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT testing) on all electrical equipment. Training provided if needed! 🔌⚡
- Record keeper extraordinaire: Collaborate with the Services Team to ensure all statutory and regulated tests and checks are completed on time, with accurate records. This includes fire safety 🔥, nurse call systems 📞, nursing beds 🛏️, and water safety temperatures 🌡️.
- Health & Safety champion: Assist the Services Manager in supporting Scheme Managers to create and maintain safe environments that meet all current Health & Safety standards. 🛡️
- Budget buddy: Help the Services Manager monitor budget spending and process payments promptly once goods and services are confirmed. 💰🚀
