Digital Support & Social Media Apprentice 📱✨
Open Door Scotland has been smashing it in West Lothian for over 30 years, supporting young people who are homeless or facing tough times. We're on the hunt for a super-motivated Digital Support & Social Media Apprentice to join our crew!
What you'll be doing:
- Be the first point of contact 📞 for all incoming queries via phone, email, and our social media channels (think Facebook & Instagram 😎). You'll be replying like a pro and making sure everyone gets to the right person.
- Become a wizard 🧙 with Microsoft Outlook – managing inboxes, scheduling meetings, and keeping communication smooth with our team, supporters, and external peeps.
- Level up your skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and cloud-based platforms like SharePoint. You'll be the go-to for recording, updating, and keeping info super accurate using digital filing systems.
- Keep our digital files, emails, and shared folders on lock 📂, making sure everything is organised and easy to find for the whole team.
- Collaborate like a boss with your colleagues via Microsoft Teams. Join meetings, share updates, and keep our day-to-day admin running like clockwork.
- Master Microsoft Excel for record-keeping, tracking info, updating databases, and whipping up reports when needed.
- Get creative and schedule awesome social media content across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, using cool digital marketing and content management tools.
- Unleash your inner artist 🎨 with graphic design software like Canva to create eye-catching social media posts, promo materials, leaflets, and all sorts of digital content.
- Keep an eye on our social media vibes, responding to messages and comments, and helping us boost awareness campaigns.
- Help us keep our websites looking fresh and up-to-date on platforms like Webflow. You'll be ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and totally on brand.
- Assist with creating, editing, and publishing web pages, uploading digital goodies, monitoring website performance, and making our user experience even better.

The Deets:
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Key responsibilities
