About the Gig:

This role is your ticket into our UK Property Business, all about building places where business, communities, and nature thrive. You'll be part of the Grosvenor London Estate’s Service Performance Team (SPT), the legends managing all maintenance and small projects across the estate. Get ready for rotations:

  • Major Works Team (MW) πŸ—οΈ: Dive into Grosvenor’s 10-year maintenance plan and help deliver exciting small to medium development projects.
  • Energy Saving Fund Portfolio (ESF) πŸ’‘: Focus on retrofit projects that boost building performance and slash our carbon footprint. πŸƒ
  • SMDP Team (SMDP) πŸ“ˆ: Work on development projects in Mayfair and Belgravia, boosting rental income and supporting our eco-friendly 2030 goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assisting with the nitty-gritty of construction specs and contracts. πŸ“„
  • Learning how to nail tender assessments and analysis. 🧐
  • Getting to grips with project finances and preparing accounts. πŸ’°
  • Undertaking property surveys and understanding our 10-year maintenance game plan. πŸ“
  • Ensuring we're all safe and sound, following health, safety, and fire regulations. 🚨
  • Teaming up with project managers to create awesome reports (performance, financial, and more). πŸ“Š
  • Supporting the MW, ESF, and SMDP project portfolios. βœ…
  • Mastering client briefs, managing consultants and contractors, and seeing projects through from start to finish (RIBA Stages, anyone?). πŸ†
  • Understanding and applying construction and facilities management laws. βš–οΈ
  • Keeping an eye on onsite projects and chatting with suppliers and tenants. πŸ—£οΈ
  • Learning the ropes of risk, programme, and cost management. 🧠

Your Entry Requirements:

  • Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A Levels/BTEC etc.) OR 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 x GCSEs (English & Maths at Grade 4/C or above).

The Deal:

  • Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. ⏰

Key responsibilities

  • Learn and assist with the preparation of detailed specifications for construction work and contract documents
  • Learn the benefits and techniques of assessing tender submissions and undertake tender analysis
  • Develop an understanding of how to prepare project accounts and financial management and undertake the preparation of accounts for small and medium projects
  • Learn how to undertake basic surveys of properties and understand the benefit of running a 10-year Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule
  • Understand and work within health and safety requirements and statutory fire requirements when running projects
