About the role

Ready to dive into the future of tech? 🤖 We're on the hunt for a passionate AI Developer & Automation Apprentice to join our epic AI implementation program and help revolutionize how we do things.

This isn't your average gig! You'll get hands-on experience in AI development, automation, business analysis, process improvement, and change management – all while working on real projects that actually make a difference. 🚀 You'll team up with super-experienced developers, tech wizards, and business pros to find where AI and automation can level up our game. Then, you'll help design, build, test, and launch solutions, plus guide your colleagues on using all this cool new tech. 😎

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Be part of the whole AI and automation project journey, chatting with both techy and non-techy people across the board.
  • Help figure out what we need, map out how things work, and spot awesome opportunities for AI and automation.
  • Pitch in with designing and building AI apps, bots, workflows, and automation solutions.
  • Craft and fine-tune solutions using the latest AI dev tools, coding assistants, and automation platforms.
  • Test AI solutions to make sure they're accurate, dependable, secure, and totally fit for purpose. ✅
  • Help roll out, document, and launch new AI-powered solutions.
  • Create awesome user guides and training stuff, and help your colleagues get the hang of new tech.
  • Gather feedback and help us find ways to make things even better.

What We're Looking For:

We need someone who's super curious about tech, loves solving puzzles, and is seriously hyped about what AI can do. 🧠 You might have already built up your skills through school, personal projects, online courses, past jobs, or just messing around with tech on your own time.

Ideally, you'll:

  • Be super interested in AI, software development, and all things cutting-edge. 🌟
  • Have some coding experience or be super keen to learn languages like Python, JavaScript, C#, TypeScript, or SQL. 💻
  • Enjoy breaking down problems and finding ways to make processes slicker.
  • Have killer communication skills, both written and spoken. 🗣️
  • Be comfortable working with both techy and non-techy people.
  • Be organised, reliable, and notice all the little details. 🧐
  • Be hungry to learn and boost your tech skills.
  • Be able to rock it solo and as part of a team. 🤝

Bonus points if you've played with AI tools, coding assistants, workflow automation, APIs, Agile, Jira, or the Microsoft tech stack – but no worries if not!

Entry Requirements:

  • Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A Levels/BTEC etc.) OR equivalent work experience (around 2 years in a relevant role).
  • AND 5 x GCSEs including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.

The Deets:

  • Hours: 37.5 hours/week (Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm, 30 min lunch)
  • Salary: £22,000 - £24,780/year
  • Perks: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, potential annual bonus, awesome training & development, company pension, private medical insurance, free gym (Leatherhead), discounted gym memberships, Cycle to Work scheme, and epic team socials! 🎉
