What you'll be doing:
- Ensuring medicines and pharmaceutical products are managed, ordered, received, and supplied safely and accurately. π¦β
- Giving patients clear, person-centred advice on their prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, knowing when to get a healthcare professional involved. π£οΈπ
- Helping to keep the pharmacy running smoothly, from business tasks to stock management and upholding quality standards. π
- As you grow, you'll have opportunities to supervise and support other pharmacy support staff. π
- Lending a hand with training and mentoring new team members. π±
- Keeping everything top-notch through audits, service reviews, and acting on feedback. π―
Your Apprenticeship Journey:
- You'll undertake a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (that's like A-levels!). π
- Upon successful completion, you'll be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) β the official body for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. β
- Your training will be a cool mix of on-the-job learning and structured study. π»π«

Key responsibilities
- Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
- Providing personβcentred advice to patients on prescription and overβtheβcounter medicines
- Supporting the dayβtoβday running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
- Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
