About the role

Stores Assistant - Specialist Cutting Tools 🚀

Lloyd & Jones Engineers Limited is a leading independent industrial distributor with branches nationwide! 🇬🇧 We're on the hunt for a motivated Stores Assistant to join our super-specialist cutting tools branch in Burscough. This isn't your average warehouse gig; it's about becoming a key player in a niche market, supplying top-notch cutting tools and related gear to engineering and manufacturing pros across the UK. 🔧

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

This role is primarily based in our sales office environment (think less dusty shelves, more focused operations! 💻), not a traditional warehouse. You'll be working closely with our awesome, experienced sales team, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Goods Inwards Guru: Booking in all the cool new products arriving from our suppliers on our computer system. 📦
  • Dispatch Dynamo: Processing and booking out orders for our customers, ensuring everything gets to them smoothly. 🚚
  • Quality Controller: Meticulously checking incoming and outgoing products against the order details. ✅
  • Product Pro: Identifying and handling our specialist engineering and cutting-tool products with confidence. 🔩
  • Record Keeper Extraordinaire: Maintaining super accurate stock levels and transaction records. 📊
  • Team Player: Liaising with the sales team regarding customer orders and stock availability. 🤝
  • Branch Support: Assisting with general branch requirements as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • You're comfortable using computers and have a knack for getting things done. 🖱️
  • You've got a sharp eye for detail – nothing gets past you! 👀
  • You're eager to learn about our unique computer system and our extensive range of cutting-tool products. 🧠
  • A willingness to dive in and be part of a supportive team. 💪

Key responsibilities

  • Booking goods received from suppliers onto our computer system
  • Processing and booking goods out to customers
  • Checking incoming and outgoing products against orders
  • Identifying and handling engineering and cutting-tool products
  • Maintaining accurate stock and transaction records
