As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you'll be the backbone of our classrooms, helping our amazing pupils learn, grow, and shine! โœจ You'll work alongside our teachers to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment, empowering students to become independent thinkers and learners. ๐Ÿง 

What you'll be doing:

  • Helping teachers deliver engaging lessons and support pupils with their educational journey. ๐ŸŽ
  • Encouraging students to become confident, independent learners. ๐Ÿ’ช
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils is top priority. โค๏ธ
  • Supporting the inclusion of every student in every aspect of school life. ๐Ÿค
  • Being flexible and ready to assist wherever needed, maybe not always in one spot! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ
  • Working 1:1 or with small groups, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEN/D). ๐ŸŒˆ
  • Assisting with introducing tasks, monitoring progress, and using various strategies to boost learning. ๐Ÿ’ก
  • Helping pupils access the full curriculum while fostering independence. ๐Ÿ“š
  • Observing student performance, providing feedback to teachers, and maintaining records. ๐Ÿ“Š
  • Contributing to the planning and evaluation of learning activities. ๐Ÿ“
  • Maintaining a positive, organized, and supportive learning space. ๐Ÿก
  • Providing care for pupils' physical welfare, including first aid and administering medication. ๐Ÿฉน๐Ÿ’Š
  • Using your skills to support pupils with SEN/D effectively. ๐ŸŒŸ
  • You might even be trained as a first aider! ๐Ÿš‘
  • Providing intimate care as needed, such as changing nappies, soiled clothes, and assisting with toileting. ๐Ÿงผ

Key responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in providing a supportive learning environment for pupils
  • Work with individual and groups of pupils to support their learning and curriculum access
  • Observe pupils' performance, provide feedback to teachers, and maintain records of progress
  • Ensure the safety, welfare, and physical care of pupils, including intimate care where necessary
  • Administer first aid and medication as required, following appropriate training
