What You'll Be Doing:

Get hands-on training to calibrate and fine-tune all sorts of measuring equipment. You'll also learn how to diagnose and fix issues. 🛠️ We operate to super strict quality standards (ISO9001 and ISO17025), so attention to detail is key! 💯

This 4-year programme is packed with:

  • Your Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 & BTEC Diploma Level 3 (or equivalent in Scotland) in Engineering. 🎓
  • Calibration Essentials: Master the fundamentals of calibration.
  • Hands-On Experience: Rotate through different calibration areas (pressure, temperature, electrical) in our UKAS accredited labs. 🔬
  • Personal Growth: Develop your skills with external training providers. 📈
  • Tech Skills: Get proficient with Microsoft software. 💻

Locations: Bristol, Broughton, Derby, Dalgety Bay, Inchinnan, Manchester, Stevenage, Yateley, Wolverhampton. 📍

Start Date: Flexible, but no later than September 1, 2024. 🗓️

What's Next?

After the apprenticeship, you'll be a qualified Calibration Engineer with UKAS signatory status! Your career can then skyrocket to Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, Specialist, or even management roles! 🚀 Plus, you can keep leveling up your qualifications. 🧠

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 5 GCSEs (Grade 4+) or National 5s (A-C) in English, Maths, and Science (if applicable). 📚
  • Comfortable using PCs and Microsoft software.
  • A proactive attitude and a knack for solving problems. 🤔
  • Great communication and people skills.🗣️
  • Ability to attend college weekly during term time. 🏫

Key responsibilities

  • Calibrate and optimise a wide range of measuring instrumentation
  • Fault find and repair equipment
  • Perform in accordance with Quality System and Company Procedures
