What You'll Do:
Get hands-on training to calibrate and optimize all sorts of measuring equipment. You'll learn to troubleshoot and fix gear, all while following strict quality standards (ISO9001 and ISO17025 certified). Think of yourself as a super-skilled problem-solver for high-tech tools! 🛠️
Your 4-Year Journey Includes:
- NVQ Level 3 & BTEC Diploma Level 3 (or equivalent in Scotland) in Engineering 📚
- Mastering Calibration Fundamentals
- Awesome in-house training in different calibration areas (pressure, temperature, electrical, etc.) in UKAS accredited labs 🔬
- Personal development courses with external experts 🌟
- Becoming a Microsoft software pro 💻
Locations:
Bristol, Broughton, Derby, Dalgety Bay, Inchinnan, Manchester, Stevenage, Yateley, Wolverhampton 📍
Start Date:
Flexible, but no later than September 1, 2024. Get ready for college! 🗓️
What's Next?
After you finish, you'll be a fully qualified Calibration Engineer with UKAS signatory status. Your career can then skyrocket to Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, Specialist, or even management! 📈 You'll also have chances to keep earning more qualifications.
You're a Great Fit If You Have:
- At least 5 GCSEs (or Scottish Nationals) with English and Maths at grade 4+ (or A-C). 💯
- You're comfortable using computers and Microsoft software. 🖥️

- You're good at talking to people and working in a team. 🤝
- You can commit to attending college weekly during term time. 🧑🎓
Key responsibilities
- Calibrate and optimise a wide range of measuring instrumentation.
- Fault find and repair equipment.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the Quality System and Company Procedures.
- Participate in in-house training across various calibration disciplines.
- Attend college weekly in term time.
