Are you ready to kickstart your career in procurement? We're looking for a motivated and organized individual to join our dynamic LBBD Procurement team! This is your chance to get hands-on experience and make a real impact. ✨

What you'll be doing:

  • Help Desk Hero: Be the first point of contact for new requests and queries, providing a stellar support service for LBBD Procurement. 📞
  • Documentation Guru: Keep our procurement and contract library ship-shape, and ensure our external reporting is on point. 📚
  • Research & Tendering Trailblazer: Under guidance, dive into research for new projects and assist with tendering activities. 📈
  • Relationship Builder: Connect with colleagues across LBBD and suppliers, staying clued-up on what's happening and keeping things running smoothly. 🤝
  • Reporting Rockstar: Help compile and distribute management information reports so everyone knows what's up! 📊
  • Admin Ace: Provide general admin support, create spend reports (with supervision!), and advise officers on contract availability. ✍️

What we're looking for:

  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A desire to learn and grow in a professional environment.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have some experience in administrative tasks or customer service.

  • Provide a help desk service, acting as the primary point of contact for new work requests and general queries.
  • Manage and maintain the library of procurement and contract documentation.
  • Carry out research on new procurement projects under supervision; assist the category workstream and, under supervision, carry out tendering activity.
  • Assist in the development of customer relationships across LBBD, maintaining awareness of issues, planned changes and developments across the council, including internal communications, organising events, and liaising with suppliers and customers.
