Facilities Maintenance Assistant (18+) 🛠️

Are you ready to kickstart your career in facilities management? We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team and help keep our Trust sites running smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Lend a hand with planned and reactive maintenance across our various Trust sites.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
  • Spot any issues, report defects, and note down maintenance needs.
  • Assist with plumbing tasks, including water isolation and fixing taps, traps, and related fittings.
  • Support repairs to waste systems and clear any blockages. 🚰
  • Help with inspecting, adjusting, and repairing doors, windows, and their fittings.
  • Assist with replacing glazing beads and carrying out minor joinery repairs.
  • Prep surfaces and get involved with painting and decorating. 🖌️
  • Apply caulk and sealants to frames.
  • Support repairs to plasterboard, plastering, and tiling.
  • Be a valuable support to our school site teams with daily maintenance tasks.
  • Help with classroom moves, furniture setup, and our holiday maintenance programs.
  • Assist contractors who are working on Trust premises.
  • Always follow Trust Health and Safety procedures and wear your appropriate PPE. 😷
  • Complete and log compliance checks through our portal.
