About the role
Join our team and become a vital part of keeping our Trust sites running smoothly! We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist with a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks. You'll get hands-on experience with everything from routine building inspections 🧐 to helping out with plumbing fixes 💧 and ensuring doors and windows are in top shape.
What you'll be doing:
- Maintenance Mastermind: Pitch in with both planned upkeep and urgent repairs across all our Trust locations.
- Inspection Pro: Conduct regular checks on buildings, fixtures, fittings, and equipment to spot any issues.
- Problem Solver: Identify defects and report what needs fixing, so we can tackle it head-on.
- Plumbing Pal: Assist with plumbing inspections, water isolations, and repairs to taps, traps, and related fittings.
- Waste Warrior: Support repairs to waste systems and help clear any blockages.
- Door & Window Whisperer: Inspect, adjust, and repair doors, windows, and their associated fittings.
- Joinery Journeyman: Help with replacing glazing beads and performing minor joinery repairs.
- Decorator Dynamo: Prepare surfaces and carry out painting and decorating tasks.
- Sealant Specialist: Apply caulk and frame sealants to ensure everything is watertight.
- Repair Guru: Assist with plasterboard, plastering, and tiling repairs.
- School Site Support: Help our school site teams with their daily maintenance needs.
- Classroom Crew: Assist with moving classrooms, installing furniture, and tackling holiday maintenance projects.
- Contractor Collaborator: Support contractors working on Trust premises, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
- Safety Star: Strictly follow Trust Health and Safety procedures and always wear your appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 🦺
- Compliance Champion: Complete and log all compliance checks through our portal. ✅
