Are you ready to kickstart your career in manufacturing? We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Production Operatives, undertaking an Apprenticeship in Engineering Operative Level 2! ๐Ÿš€

What you'll be doing:

  • Reading and understanding all works instructions, drawings, and manufacturing docs. ๐Ÿ“
  • Mastering screen printing techniques. ๐ŸŽจ
  • Performing a variety of assembly tasks โ€“ from manual to automated! This includes:
  • Pad printing. ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ
  • Bonding plastic components with adhesives. ๐Ÿค
  • Mechanical assembly and precision setting. โš™๏ธ
  • Plaster work and setting circular levels. ๐Ÿ“
  • Logging all production data accurately into our database. ๐Ÿ’ป
  • Ensuring top-notch quality by performing first-piece and in-process inspections. โœ…
  • Strictly adhering to all quality policies and procedures. ๐Ÿ’ฏ
  • Providing support to other departments when needed to meet customer demands and deadlines. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ
  • Keeping your workspace super clean and tidy, following our 5S policy. ๐Ÿงผ
  • Working safely and ensuring the health and safety of yourself and others. ๐Ÿ™
  • Participating in team meetings and sharing your ideas for improvements. ๐Ÿ’ก
  • Taking on other ad-hoc tasks as they arise.

Key responsibilities

  • Read and understand manufacturing documentation and instructions.
  • Perform a wide range of manual, semi-automated and automated assembly operations.
  • Record production information in the production database.
  • Maintain quality standards by conducting inspection and following policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with health and safety policy and maintain a clean work area.

Entry requirements

GCSE in: (English (grade C/4 or above), Maths (grade C/4 or above), Physics (or Combined Science) (grade C/4 or above))
