Ready to kickstart your career in engineering? 🛠️ We've got two awesome Level 3 Apprenticeships in Multi Skilled Engineering up for grabs, located at Sunderland Hospital and South Tyneside Hospital! 🏥
This isn't just a job, it's a chance to become a vital part of the NHS, supporting essential installations and maintenance that keep healthcare running smoothly. 🚀 You'll dive deep into both electrical and mechanical engineering, gaining skills that are in high demand.
You'll be employed by CHoICE, a company owned by the South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust, and work with the Northern & Yorkshire NHS Assessment Centre (NYNHSAS) on a custom training plan. 💯
Expect a mix of learning:
- College Study: Typically one day/evening per week for the first two years to build your technical knowledge. 📚
- Practical Training: An intensive block release of around 8 months in your first year to get hands-on with basic engineering skills. 💪
Once you've nailed the basics, you'll train for your End Point Assessment to achieve your full Apprenticeship Standard, all within the Trust and with NYNHSAC.
What we're looking for:
- A minimum of GCSE Grade B / 5 in Maths and Grade C / 4 (or equivalent) in at least 4 other subjects, including a science. 🧠
- A willingness to learn, follow instructions, and meet training goals within agreed timelines. 🎯
- The ability to work within the employer's statutory requirements.
Interviews are scheduled for the week of November 2nd / November 9th, 2023. Please note, these dates are fixed, so make sure you're available! 🗓️ The apprenticeship is penciled in to start early 2027, once all checks are complete. Oh, and there'll be a colour blindness test involved! 🌈

Key responsibilities
