Level 3 Apprenticeship: Medical Electronic Engineering 🩺
Ready for a career that makes a real difference? ✨ Our Medical Electronic Engineering Apprenticeship is your gateway to a vital role within the NHS, supporting the healthcare services we all rely on.
You'll be employed by CHoICE, a company owned by South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust, and will work towards the Healthcare Engineering Specialist Technician apprentice standard. We've partnered with the Northern & Yorkshire NHS Assessment Centre (NYNHSAS) to create a tailored training plan just for you! 🚀
What to expect:
- Learn and Grow: You'll attend college one day/evening a week for the first two years to gain the technical knowledge needed. 📚
- Hands-On Skills: Expect intensive block release training for approximately 8 months in your first year, building your practical skills. 💪
- Real-World Experience: Once you've mastered the basics, you'll dive into training for your End Point Assessment, right within the Trust and with NYNHSAC.
- Clear Path: The program is designed to take you all the way to achieving your full Apprenticeship Standard. 🌟
Entry Requirements:
- Minimum Grade B/5 in GCSE Maths. ➕
- Minimum Grade C/4 in GCSEs in at least 4 other subjects, including a science. 🔬
Important Notes:
- Apprenticeships are expected to commence early 2027, pending funding and employment checks (including a colour blindness test). 🗓️
- Interviews will take place w/c 2nd November / 9th November. No alternative dates will be offered. 📅

Key responsibilities
- Follow all provided instructions, training, and guidance.

- Adhere to the Employer's statutory requirements.
- Attend college for the technical knowledge aspect of the apprenticeship.
- Participate in practical basic skills training via block release.
