What you'll do:

  • Get to grips with the Procurement Act 2023 and how it shapes our procurement processes. 📜
  • Master the Council's Contracts Procedure Rules and their impact on our operations. ⚙️
  • Apply your knowledge to support public procurement exercises, ensuring compliance with legislation and governance. ✅
  • Conduct Request for Quotation (RFQ) exercises and help prepare tender documentation alongside the Procurement Team. ✍️
  • Assist colleagues in managing compliant end-to-end procurement procedures, from initiation to contract award. 🎉
  • Learn to handle complex and high-value sourcing exercises, including Invitation to Tender (ITT) processes through our Tendering Portal. 💻
  • Help prepare essential contract documents like specifications and evaluation criteria, collaborating with various stakeholders. 🧑‍💼
  • Develop skills in designing and implementing Microsoft Excel-based evaluation matrices for supplier assessment. 📊

Key responsibilities
