Job Title: Junior Compliance & Admin Assistant 🚀
Are you a sharp, organized individual with a knack for communication and a desire to make a real impact? We're looking for a motivated Junior Compliance & Admin Assistant to join our dynamic team! This isn't your average desk job – you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our Council operates smoothly and legally. ⚖️
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting Legal Obligations: You'll play a key role in helping the Council meet its legal duties under various legislation and regulations. Your work will directly influence how Council information is handled. 📚
- Information Requests: Get hands-on experience managing requests for information received under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), as well as Subject Access Requests. You'll help prepare and draft responses. 📧
- Data Protection: Assist with the management of requests for sharing personal data, both internally and with third parties, in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018) and GDPR. You'll contribute to preparing responses for these. 🔒
- Accreditation Support: Help with the processes and requirements needed for our Legal Service’s LEXCEL accreditation and re-accreditation. 🏆
- Financial Admin: Support the purchase order and invoicing processes, keeping everything running efficiently. 🧾

Key responsibilities
- Assist with the management of requests for information received under FOIA and EIR and Subject Access Requests and to prepare responses
- Assist with the management of internal and third-party personal data sharing requests under DPA 2018 and GDPR and prepare responses
- Assist with the processes and requirements for compliance with and re-accreditation of the Legal Service’s LEXCEL accreditation

Entry requirements
