Important stuff to know:
- You'll need to meet specific eligibility criteria for apprenticeship funding (check out Annex A - Apprenticeship funding rules 2023 to 2024) before we can get you started. 📜
- We'll need to see proof of your qualifications before your interview. 💯
- You must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years by the apprenticeship start date and have the right to work here for the whole program. 🇬🇧

What you'll be doing (aka your mission):
Stores, Distribution & Procurement:
- Accurately log, pick, and send out stock medications for patients using our pharmacy computer system and other tools. 💻
- Process incoming pharmacy items and orders correctly, following all procedures and health & safety rules. 📦
- Package medications super carefully for distribution to ensure they arrive on time and are correct. 🚚
- Hand out prescriptions at the dispensary hatch. 🧑⚕️
- Receive deliveries, check for fake medicines (yep, that's a thing!), and log them in our EMIS system. 🔍
- Help with stock checks and figure out any issues. 📊
- Order pharmaceuticals and other bits and bobs from our approved suppliers. 🛒
- Enter patient-specific ordering (PSO) details into the homecare system. 📝
Dispensary:
- Accurately dispense, assemble, and issue medications, including those we make ourselves (extemporaneous products), from your assigned workload. 💊
- Record patient information with precision, sticking to our procedures. ✍️
- Organise Clozapine outpatient cards for the week and get next week's ready for patients or clinics. 🗓️
- Input routine info into the CPMS system. 🖱️
- Help bag up Clozapine prescriptions for collection or delivery. 📦
The skills you'll need:
Communication is key! 🗣️ You'll be working solo or as part of a busy team, so being clear and a great listener is vital, especially when facing tight deadlines. Your attention to detail will be second to none. 👀
You'll be studying for your NVQ Level 2 Apprenticeship, provided you meet the criteria. 📚 There might be some travel between different hospital sites as part of your rotation. 🚗
