If you're super organised ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ, bursting with curiosity ๐Ÿง, and keen to dive into governance, information management, or business administration, this is your chance!

Our Governance Team is the backbone of big decisions, managing the processes and systems that keep everything official. Think servicing key meetings like the National Council and Executive Board ๐Ÿ›๏ธ, handling conflicts of interest so decisions are fair and transparent, and making sure our policies are spot on with the law. The Information Team? They're our data wizards ๐Ÿง™, guiding everyone on how to handle info and data, responding to Freedom of Information requests from the public and media ๐Ÿ“ฐ, tackling data breaches, and keeping us all data protection savvy.

As our Governance Apprentice, you'll be the go-to for admin support across both teams. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will include:

  • Juggling Freedom of Information (FOI) and GDPR requests, making sure our answers are on point and on time. ๐Ÿš€
  • Being the meeting maestro for our governance committees โ€“ think agendas, papers, minutes, and all the behind-the-scenes magic. ๐ŸŽถ
  • Keeping our website and intranet looking sharp with up-to-date info on governance and data. ๐Ÿ’ป
  • Lending a hand with data breach management, keeping our records in order, and championing information security. ๐Ÿ”’
  • Handling essential admin tasks like purchase orders, invoices, and keeping records shipshape. ๐Ÿ“Š
  • Supporting our National Council members with their records and expenses. ๐Ÿงพ
  • Digging into research on governance, data protection, and the latest in information management. ๐Ÿ“š
  • Providing admin and diary support to the Director of Governance and Planning. ๐Ÿ“…
  • Assisting with responses to Parliamentary Questions and other team activities. โœ๏ธ

This is a seriously varied gig, giving you a taste of everything from governance and data protection to organisational admin.

Perks of the job:

  • Your well-being matters! We've got support for that. ๐Ÿฅฐ
  • Work-life balance is key with flexible and hybrid working options. ๐Ÿก๐Ÿ’ผ
  • Generous annual leave: 25 days, plus bank holidays, and an extra three days off at Christmas! ๐ŸŽ„
