What you'll be doing:
- Day-to-day HR magic: Help keep everything running smoothly with essential HR tasks. β¨
- Be the go-to person: Advise and support managers and employees on HR queries, from absence to disciplinary matters. π£οΈ
- Recruitment Rockstar: Assist with hiring, onboarding, and making sure everyone has the training and checks they need. π€
- Record Keeper Extraordinaire: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems. π
- Safeguarding Champion: Support safer recruitment and safeguarding processes, including DBS checks and compliance. β
- Payroll Pro (in training): Help with payroll by gathering essential contract and leaver information. π°
- Probation & Absence Support: Monitor probation periods, conduct welfare calls, and support return-to-work processes. π₯
- Data Detective: Prepare HR reports, analyze data, and identify key trends. π
- Employee Relations Assistant: Support investigations, meetings, and hearings, ensuring everything is organised. π
- Ofsted Ready: Help ensure all HR and safeguarding records are tip-top for inspections. π―
- Policy Guru: Guide managers on HR policies, employment law, and statutory guidance. π
- Wellbeing Advocate: Contribute to employee wellbeing initiatives and promote good absence management. π
- Team Player: Collaborate with central HR and Recruitment teams for consistent processes across the Trust. π
- Knowledge Sharer: Share best practices and contribute to Trust-wide HR projects. π‘
- Tech Innovator: Use technology to enhance HR processes and reporting. π»
- Support System: Provide support to HR colleagues and act as a point of contact. π

Key responsibilities
- Support the Director of HR with day-to-day HR activities across the Trustβs secondary schools
- Help with recruitment and onboarding, including interview panels, induction and ensuring required training and checks are completed
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files and HR systems
- Advise and support managers and employees with HR queries and employee relations issues
- Prepare HR reports and analyse data, such as absence, turnover, probation and employee engagement, identifying trends or gaps
