What you'll be doing:

• Be the Eyes and Ears: Assist with site inspections and audits, day and night, to ensure we're always compliant with company standards, laws, and client needs. 🧐
• Champion Safe Practices: Monitor adherence to Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs), risk assessments, and operational procedures. 🛡️
• Learn from Incidents: Support investigations into incidents and near misses, helping us capture and share valuable lessons. 📈
• Data Detective: Help collect, analyze, and report on HSEQ performance data, identifying trends and key metrics. 📊
• Promote a Positive Culture: Champion the Amey Zero Code and foster a strong safety culture across the team. 💪
• Improve Our Workplaces: Participate in depot inspections and compliance reviews, spotting opportunities to make things even better. ✨
• Documentation Wiz: Assist in developing, reviewing, and communicating important documents like risk assessments and SSOWs. 📝
• Engage and Educate: Help deliver safety briefings, campaigns, toolbox talks, and engagement initiatives to keep everyone informed. 🗣️
• Build Connections: Develop strong working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, managers, clients, and stakeholders. 👋
• Compliance Champion: Support our adherence to ISO management systems, legal obligations, and client-specific HSEQ requirements. ✅
• Record Keeper: Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation following company procedures. 📁
• Grow Your Skills: Attend training, development programs, and apprenticeship activities to achieve your Level 3 qualification and professional goals. 🎓

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) activities.
• Assist with planned and unannounced site inspections, audits and assurance activities.
• Monitor compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs), risk assessments and operational procedures.
• Support investigations into incidents, near misses, service failures and unsafe acts.
• Assist in the collection, analysis and reporting of HSEQ performance data.
