Brenzett Primary School is launching a super exciting new nursery, and we're on the hunt for an enthusiastic Early Years Apprentice to help us build something amazing from the ground up! π
Are you passionate about giving little ones the best start in life? π₯° We're looking for someone with a Level 2 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or similar) who's keen to train up to Level 3 with our supportive team. You'll be working alongside our experienced Nursery Teacher and Teaching Assistant, diving straight into practical experience in our beautiful new setting. π«
We need a self-starter who's eager to learn, flexible, and ready to get stuck in! π€ΈββοΈ You'll be crucial in creating a warm, safe, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. Your kind and caring nature will be key, and an understanding of how young children learn is a big plus! π
What we're looking for:
- A genuine commitment to keeping children safe and well. π‘οΈ
- A good grasp of the EYFS framework. π
- A nurturing, enthusiastic, and child-focused approach. β€οΈ
- Awesome communication and teamwork skills. π€
- A positive vibe and a real love for early years education! π
- Level 2 Early Years / Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience with Tapestry and Bromcom is a bonus, but not a deal-breaker! π
- Paediatric First Aid certification (or a willingness to get trained!). π©Ή

Your role will involve:
- Creating a super warm, secure, and inclusive learning space. π€
- Helping to plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities. π
- Supporting children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth. πͺ
- Observing, assessing, and recording children's progress. π
- Building fantastic relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. π
- Always following safeguarding, health, and safety rules. β
- Collaborating with the team to ensure top-notch care. π―
- Contributing to the daily running and improvement of the nursery. π‘
- Assisting children with their regulation and personal care needs.
- A half-hour unpaid lunch break and comfort breaks. β
We need someone with a flexible attitude who can adapt to the needs of our small team. You might be asked to take on other duties as needed by the Headteacher. You'll also be expected to champion the school's values. This job description can be updated and will be reviewed annually.
