Job Title: Hearing Aid Support Specialist đâ¨

In this role, you'll:
- Assist qualified Practitioners in providing top-notch hearing aid care. đ¯
- Perform otoscopy and determine if ear impressions can be safely taken or if ENT intervention is needed. đ§
- Take precise ear impressions and adjust existing ear moulds. đ ī¸
- Handle first-line hearing aid repairs, including replacing and reprogramming digital hearing aids. đģ
- Distribute batteries and essential hearing aid accessories to patients. đ
- Communicate patient information, care plans, and prognosis clearly and understandably to patients and their carers. đŖī¸
- Effectively communicate with diverse patients and carers, including those facing communication barriers due to hearing loss, language, disability, or special needs. đ¤
- Share valuable information about other available services like Social Services and assistive listening devices. âšī¸
- Manage the dispatch and processing of earmoulds and hearing aids to and from manufacturers. đĻ
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies to ensure we're always ready to help. đ
- Ensure efficient resource utilization, minimizing waste and costs. đ¸
- Support departmental clerical tasks, including mail, reception, patient data entry, and handling workshop inquiries. đ
- Add patients to waiting lists for reassessment of their hearing aid status. đ
- Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to all patients. đ
- Maintain accurate patient records (both paper and electronic) and care plans. âī¸
- Undertake other relevant administrative tasks. â
- Help maintain a safe and tidy workspace. đą
- Identify and report any risks to patients or staff immediately. đ¨
