What you'll be doing:
- Tool Time: Get hands-on preparing and organizing tools and materials. π¦
- Precision & Measurement: Learn to accurately measure and mark timber for various tasks. π
- Material Handling: Assist with loading, unloading, and safely moving timber and other construction materials. π
- Site Safety First: Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering strictly to all site health and safety procedures. βοΈ
- Setting Up & Packing Down: Efficiently set up and pack away tools at the start and end of each day. β±οΈ
- Basic Carpentry: Under supervision, you'll learn to cut timber to precise measurements and utilize hand tools and power tools safely. π§°
- Frame Building: Assist in the construction of basic timber frames. ποΈ
- Finishing Touches: Help install skirting boards, architraves, and door frames.
- Door Fitting: Learn to fit doors and their associated hardware. πͺ
- Flooring Assistance: Support flooring installations, including timber flooring.
- Storage Solutions: Assist in constructing and installing shelving and cupboards. π
- Roofing Support: Lend a hand with roofing and roof structure projects.
- Wall Construction: Help build stud walls and partitions.
- Support Structures: Fix timber battens and supports where needed.
- Staircase & Handrail Aid: Assist with staircase and handrail installations. πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ
