You'll be the friendly face and voice of our department, keeping things running smoothly for our young patients and their families.

What you'll be doing:

  • Answering calls and being the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors. 👋
  • Greeting everyone with a smile and making them feel welcome. 😊
  • Keeping patient records organised and up-to-date on our computer systems. 💻
  • Helping to coordinate the day-to-day admin tasks on the Children's Ward. ✨

This is a fixed-term position for 15 months due to the apprenticeship contract.

Key responsibilities

  • Answering telephone queries
  • Receiving patients, relatives and visitors to the department
  • Co-ordinate online patient documentation through computerised patient management systems
  • Co-ordinating administrative tasks relating to the operational running of the Children's Ward
  • Attend regular review meetings with the supervisor and assessor

Entry requirements

Essential qualifications (Essential Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including Maths and English)
