What you'll be doing:
- Sparking learning and development by facilitating play, creative arts, and sports activities. π¨β½
- Providing top-notch care and support, creating a safe and stimulating environment for every child. π‘οΈ
- Getting creative with resources to deliver engaging, high-quality experiences. π‘
- Connecting with parents and carers, sharing positive updates about their child's journey at Shine. π£οΈ
- Being a Key Person for a group of children, helping them navigate transitions and keeping a close eye on their wellbeing. π€
- Ensuring the health and safety of everyone is always the number one priority, and knowing how to act fast in emergencies. π¨
- Staying on top of Ofsted standards and understanding the Early Years Framework in the Shine way. β
- Championing Shine's policies and procedures, and acting with integrity, especially when it comes to safeguarding. π
- Working during school holidays for our super fun Holiday Club provision! ποΈ

Your Training Journey:
Youβll be attending the Filton Campus of SGS College fortnightly for your learning, with independent study for portfolio building in the weeks between.
Requirements:
- A passion for working with children and a desire to make a real difference. β€οΈ
- Ability to commit to the apprenticeship training schedule. π
- Confidence using public transport or having your own consistent means of transport. π
- Successful completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. π
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate childrenβs learning and development through play, creative, and sports activities
- Provide care and appropriate support to children, ensuring a secure and stimulating environment
- Organise and utilise resources imaginatively to ensure engaging, high-quality care
- Liaise with and support parent/carers by sharing feedback about Shine sessions
- Ensure the health and safety of all children and staff, acting appropriately in emergencies
