What you'll be doing:

  • Be the super-welcoming person who greets and helps patients and visitors. 👋
  • Handle phone calls like a pro – answer questions and direct calls where they need to go. 📞
  • Book appointments and point people to the right services. 🗓️
  • Organize home visit requests and ambulance bookings. 🚑
  • Welcome new patients and temporary residents to the practice. ✨
  • Manage online requests and messages from patients. 💻
  • Handle general questions, concerns, and even complaints with a smile and professionalism. 😊
  • Connect with patients and external teams as requested by clinicians. 🤝
  • Hand out prescriptions, letters, and other patient info. ✉️
  • Collect payments for non-NHS services when needed. 💰

Prescription Powerhouse:

  • Process repeat prescription requests from phone calls, online, email, post, and in-person – all according to our super-safe protocols. 💯
  • Make sure prescription requests are spot-on, accurate, and on time. ✅
  • Raise prescription requests following practice policies. 📜
  • Answer patient questions about medications and prescriptions through any channel. 🗣️
  • Team up with GPs, pharmacists, and other prescribers for smooth sailing. 🧑‍⚕️
  • Help with repeat dispensing and electronic prescribing. 🚀
  • Check medication details from discharge summaries and other clinical notes. 📝
  • Keep patient medication records up-to-date and accurate. 💾
  • Support medication reviews and monitoring for safe prescribing. 🌟
  • Flag any worries about medication compliance or prescribing issues to the right clinician. 🚨

Admin Ace:

  • Input and manage patient info accurately using our clinical system. 📊
  • Handle emails, update patient details, manage forms, and organize documents. 📁
  • Keep everything filed and organized. 📦
  • Make sure outstanding tasks are clearly communicated during handovers. 📢
  • Lend a hand with other admin duties across the practice when needed. 💪

  • Chat effectively with patients, their families, pharmacies, other healthcare providers, and our amazing internal team. 🌍
