This isn't your average gig. You'll be learning the ancient art of falconry from the ground up! We're talking about getting hands-on with handling, training, and flying a variety of magnificent birds of prey. 🚀 You'll also be involved in the day-to-day running of our centre, mastering husbandry and ensuring our feathered friends are living their best lives. Plus, you'll get trained up to deliver thrilling flying displays, engaging educational talks, and unforgettable visitor experience days. 🌟
What we're looking for:
- A full, clean UK driving licence is a must! 🚗

No prior experience needed – we’ll provide all the training you need! This is a challenging and physically demanding role, requiring dedication in all weather conditions, but the rewards are immense. This is more than just a job; it's a pathway to an extraordinary way of life. ✨
You’ll be working towards a Level 2 Animal Care and Welfare Assistant apprenticeship qualification, with all training delivered on-site during your paid working hours. Your daily mentorship will be with your employer, and you'll also connect with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach through monthly online and in-person sessions. 📚
Key responsibilities
- Handle, train and fly different species of birds of prey
- Assist with husbandry and day-to-day running of the bird of prey centre
- Participate in giving flying displays, educational talks and running experience days
- Engage in training towards a Level 2 Animal Care and Welfare Assistant qualification
