What you'll be doing:

• 🤝 Connecting with people: Use empathy and great communication skills (training provided for specialist methods!) to build awesome relationships.
• 🧼 Assisting with daily life: Support individuals with personal care, bathing, and hygiene, learning essential moving and handling techniques.
• 💡 Empowering independence: Help implement care plans, encouraging everyone to actively participate in their daily lives.
• 🎉 Joining the fun: Participate in outings, activities, and recreational pursuits to enhance daily living.
• 🏡 Keeping things tidy: Assist with household chores like cooking, mealtimes, and cleaning to promote a healthy environment and independent living.
• ✍️ Keeping records: Accurately document observations and progress to ensure great care.
• 🛍️ Managing finances: Handle daily cash transactions for shopping and errands to assist with personal finances.
• 📚 Learning and growing: Complete your Apprenticeship Programme within the agreed timeframe and undertake relevant training to develop professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Communicating with people we support with learning disabilities using appropriate communication methods.
• Assist with people we support care, including personal care, while being appropriately supervised.
• Participating in the development and implementation of people we support’s care plans.
• Undertaking and/or assisting people we support with household activities.
• Recording and completing any appropriate documentation.
