About the Gig:
As an Apprentice Technical Support Engineer, you'll be a key player in delivering and supporting ICT servers, networks, hardware, software, and the tech your end-users rely on across schools. 🏫 Expect loads of support and guidance from experienced team members as you build your tech knowledge and confidence.
Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:
- Day-to-Day Heroics: Provide awesome technical support to schools and smash those ICT issues. 🛠️
- Setup & Support: Install, configure, and back up servers, networks, computers, devices, and software. 📦
- Helpdesk Champ: Be the first point of contact for incidents and requests via the ICT Helpdesk. 📞
- Network Navigator: Help keep school networks running smoothly. 🌐
- User Wrangler: Manage user and computer accounts across Active Directory, Open Directory, and Microsoft 365. 👤
- Backup Boss: Ensure school servers are backed up safely and by the book. 🔒
- Security Sentinel: Make sure anti-virus and security software are set up and doing their thing. 🛡️
- App & Device Deployment: Support the rollout of apps and devices using Mobile Device Management (MDM) software. 📲
- E-Safety Guardian: Assist with website filtering and e-safety controls under senior guidance. 😇
- Equipment Guru: Support the management of ICT equipment from cradle to grave, including responsible disposal. ♻️

Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
- Must not already have a qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject to this apprenticeship.
Work Hours:
37 hours a week, with shifts between 8am - 5pm (e.g., 8am-4pm, 8:30am-4:30pm, or 9am-5pm). ⏰
