πŸš€ Audit School Leaver Apprenticeship at BDO πŸš€

Dreaming big? Ready to dive into your career and learn by doing? ✨ Welcome to the Audit School Leaver Apprenticeship at BDO – where your ambitions meet personal investment.

What's the Gig?

We’re looking for bright minds to join our Audit team, specifically in Technology Risk Assurance (TRA). You’ll start with a company-wide induction on Monday, September 20th, 2027. Don't worry, you won't be expected to know it all from day one! You'll be learning alongside experienced pros, building your confidence with hands-on experience, and always have support to answer your questions and help you grow. 🌱

Dive into Technology Risk Assurance (TRA):

  • TRA Controls Team: Help our audit teams spot and tackle risks linked to clients' finance apps. We focus on IT systems and processes like access, change management, and how systems talk to each other. πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈ If we find any weak spots, we'll recommend ways for clients to level up their processes and controls. We also team up with the financial audit crew to explain IT risks that affect how we audit.
  • Testing IT general controls over financial apps.
  • Cyber security risk assessments.
  • Testing database and operating system controls.
  • Assessing automated controls.
  • TRA Data Team: Use data analytics to supercharge our audits! Instead of just looking at small samples, we’ll explore entire financial data sets. πŸ“Š By mixing tech, data smarts, and audit expertise, we deliver awesome assurance.
  • Analyzing data to understand business operations and find risks using tools like Alteryx, Databricks, Python, SQL, SAS, and more.
  • Validating financial info to back up audits.
  • Solving problems and smashing goals with audit colleagues.
  • Presenting insights clearly, including building cool visualizations and dashboards.

Who We're Looking For:

You’re curious, can bounce back from challenges, and are genuinely eager to learn. πŸ€” You love solving problems, thinking things through, and jumping in. You don't need all the answers – just bring your ambition and a passion for learning, and we’ll provide the opportunities to build your experience, confidence, and skills. πŸ’ͺ

Where You Can Join:

  • Controls: Birmingham, London, Reading, or Manchester.
  • Data: Birmingham or London.

Important Note: You'll need to live within a commutable distance of your chosen office. We can't offer relocation support, so please consider this carefully. πŸ“ Time together in person is key for learning and building relationships!

What's In It For You?

Awesome benefits designed for your life inside and outside of work! Think extra leave, gym memberships, employee discounts, pension, health & wellbeing support, and protection benefits. πŸ’―

Salary: Β£26,615 - Β£28,275 (depends on location)
