What You'll Be Doing:
- Partner with experienced IT professionals on developing, deploying, and maintaining IT and network solutions for SNO and our clients. π€
- Assist in testing and rolling out new IT and network solutions. β
- Support our Network Operations Centre (NOC) with technical troubleshooting and escalated support, guided by experts. π οΈ
- Get hands-on with Microsoft technologies like Microsoft 365 and Azure. βοΈ
- Explore networking gear from top vendors like Ubiquiti, Cisco/Meraki, Nokia, and Fortinet. π
- Help investigate technical issues and pinpoint root causes. π
- Maintain crucial documentation and contribute to our internal knowledge base. π
- Produce reports and assist with daily operational tasks. π
- Tackle technical projects designed to boost your knowledge and practical skills. π―
What We're Looking For:
No prior professional experience needed! We want passionate, enthusiastic individuals with a genuine love for technology and a burning desire to learn. π₯
You should:
- Have a real passion for IT, networking, and technology, with a hunger to learn. π
- Be a natural problem-solver with a keen eye for detail. π
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and speaking. π£οΈ
- Work well solo and as part of a dynamic team. π§βπ€βπ§
- Be organised and manage your time like a pro. β°
- A basic grasp of networking and operating systems is a bonus! π
- Familiarity with Python or JavaScript? That's a plus! ππ»
- Hold a full, clean driverβs licence and have access to a vehicle? Also a plus! π
- Be based in or able to consistently travel to Oswestry, Shropshire. π
Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
- Please note: You must not already hold a qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject.
Hours:
- 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break).
