About the role
Financial Analysis Support 📊: Dive into the world of project finance! You'll help get project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports ready and keep them up-to-date. Plus, you'll start building your knowledge of how projects are managed financially.
Cost Control Support 💰: Keep a close eye on project spending and commitments compared to the approved budgets. Help us review project progress and flag any potential differences or trends to the team.
Data Management 💻: Make sure all project financial info is logged and maintained accurately in our company systems, following all the right steps.
Month-End Activities 🗓️: Be part of the team during our month-end close! This includes helping with reconciliations, revenue recognition, and getting reports ready.
Reporting and Insights 📈: Assist in creating regular project performance reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial summaries for our internal teams.
Stakeholder Support 👋: Work with project teams and other departments to build great relationships and help solve any financial or commercial questions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration 🤝: Team up with colleagues from Project Management, Finance, Commercial Operations, and Procurement. This is your chance to get a feel for different business areas and help projects run smoothly.
Continuous Learning 🧠: Apply what you're learning in your apprenticeship program to real business activities and help us make our processes even better!
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Monitor project expenditures and commitments against approved budgets, highlighting potential variances.
- Ensure project financial information is accurately entered and maintained within company systems.
- Support the team during month-end financial close activities, including reconciliations and reporting preparation.
- Assist in producing regular project performance reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial summaries.
Entry requirements
GCSE in: (English (grade 9-4), Maths (grade 9-4))
