What You'll Be Doing:

  • Innovation & Improvement: Dive into Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects. Your ideas matter! You'll be identifying ways to cut down on waste, downtime, manual handling, scrap, rework, changeover times, unnecessary movement, and production bottlenecks. ๐Ÿ’ก
  • Problem Solving: Actively respond to improvement requests from our production teams. Develop hands-on fabrication solutions to make our manufacturing processes even better.
  • Clean & Safe Workspaces: Support 5S initiatives in fabrication and maintenance areas, ensuring our work zones are organised, clean, and super safe. ๐Ÿงผ
  • Welding & Fabrication Mastery:
  • Get hands-on with MIG/MAG, TIG, and other welding processes.
  • Fabricate components and structures using drawings, sketches, and measurements.
  • Cut, drill, grind, bend, and prepare materials with precision.
  • Manufacture essential items like guards, brackets, frames, platforms, and supports.
  • Perform repair welding on production equipment, fixtures, and stillages.
  • Learn to select the right materials, welding processes, and consumables for every task.
  • Production Support:
  • Respond swiftly to urgent fabrication and repair needs from Production.
  • Minimize production downtime by completing repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Assist the maintenance team with their fabrication and welding needs.
  • Manufacture temporary or permanent solutions as needed and authorised.
  • Help with modifications to jigs, fixtures, tooling, and production equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with Production Engineering on exciting improvement projects.
