Apprentice Electrician ⚡️

About the Role:

Get hands-on experience supporting our qualified electricians and tackle a variety of electrical installation tasks. You'll be a key part of our Property Services team, reporting to the Electrical Supervisor. This is your chance to learn the ropes and build a solid career in the electrical trade! 🛠️

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Safely perform isolation procedures under the guidance of a qualified electrician or manager. ✅
  • Work independently on installations (once they've been made safe) with on-site supervision. 🧑‍🔧
  • Clearly demonstrate your completed work on installations to the qualified electrician/manager. 🗣️
  • Assist in testing your work before the supply is connected, ensuring everything is safe. 👍
  • Help qualified electricians with both urgent and planned electrical repairs and maintenance. This might include chasing walls to fit conduit and back boxes. 🧱
  • Complete all assigned tasks to a high standard, meeting customer and client expectations. 💯
  • Collaborate effectively with other trades on-site. 🤝
  • Engage professionally with a diverse range of customers and clients, adhering to our Customer Service Standards and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policy. 🌟
  • Ensure all tools are operated, cleaned, stored, and PAT tested correctly and appropriately. 🧰
  • Contribute to achieving performance and customer satisfaction targets for our service. 🎯

Key responsibilities

  • Provide practical support to a qualified electrician and carry out ancillary electrical works.
  • Carry out safe isolation procedures and work independently on electrical installations with supervision.
  • Assist with testing completed electrical work and perform reactive and planned electrical repairs and maintenance.
  • Complete specified works to a high standard of quality and liaise with other trades and diverse clients.
  • Ensure all tools are properly operated, cleaned, stored, and PAT tested.

Entry requirements

GCSE in: (English (grade Grade 4/C or equivalent), Maths (grade Grade 4/C or equivalent))
