What you'll be doing:
- Creating an awesome environment with top-notch resources and unforgettable experiences for our little ones. π
- Being a dedicated point person for a group of amazing children. π§π¦
- Helping set up and pack away the playgroup space β team effort! πͺ
- Supporting all aspects of the playgroup, as needed by the Manager.
- Observing, supporting, and boosting children's learning journeys. π§
- Planning engaging activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and ensuring awesome outdoor adventures. π³βοΈ
- Keeping accurate and effective records of children's progress. βοΈ
- Using our observation system (Evidence ME) and maintaining learning diaries to track each child's development. π
- Working closely with parents and families to build strong partnerships. π€
- Championing inclusive practices and supporting children with special needs. β€οΈ
- Keeping our children safe and following all child protection procedures. π‘οΈ
- Ensuring our little ones' nutritional needs are met and complying with food safety standards. π
- Building professional relationships with advisory teachers and other visiting agencies. π©βπ«
- Staying up-to-date with the latest in childcare and education. π
- Being a "Key Person" β building strong, supportive relationships with your assigned children and their families. π₯°
- Taking on other duties as requested by the Manager.

Key responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of quality within the playgroup.
- Assist with the set up, pack away, and all functions of the nursery.
- Observe, support, and extend childrenβs learning and development.
- Maintain accurate and effective children records, utilising observation systems.
- Ensure children are kept safe, following protection procedures and meeting nutritional needs.
