Ready to kickstart your career in education? Halley House School is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our vibrant EYFS team as Early Years Practitioner Apprentices! This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, develop essential skills, and earn a recognised qualification while making a real difference in the lives of young learners. π
As an apprentice, you'll be an integral part of our supportive EYFS environment, working under the guidance of our experienced EYFS Lead, Head of School, SLT, and teaching staff. You'll dive headfirst into supporting the learning, development, care, and wellbeing of our pupils, gaining invaluable practical experience alongside a structured apprenticeship programme. π
What you'll be doing:
- Implementing exciting work programmes with individual pupils and small groups, supporting teaching staff in their educational goals.
- Getting involved in the full planning, teaching, and assessment cycle.
- Supervising and leading engaging activities for small groups of children.
- Championing our school policies and embodying our ethos.
- Contributing to a creative and inclusive curriculum through reflective practice and group work.
- Supporting children's progress across all areas of development through observation, assessment, and planning.
- Adding a spark to our enriched curriculum by helping with After School Club provision. π
- Creating a stimulating and fun learning environment.
- Partnering with parents to foster their child's development. π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦
- Undertaking other reasonable tasks as needed.
You'll be focused on:
- Nurturing children's learning and development across all domains.
- Facilitating learning through play, exploration, and engaging adult-led activities.
- Building positive, caring relationships and responding to each child's unique needs. π₯°
- Boosting children's communication and language skills through meaningful interactions and vocabulary expansion.
- Promoting personal, social, and emotional growth, fostering independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

Key responsibilities
