What You'll Be Doing:
- Money Moves: Help us accurately record client and office account receipts and payments. You'll be supporting the preparation of electronic payments like CHAPS and Faster Payments, crucial for completing transactions! ๐ธ
- Banking Boss: Get involved with banking tasks, making sure incoming funds are allocated correctly and helping with reconciliations. ๐ฆ
- Detail Driven: Ensure every posting has the right matter allocation and description โ precision is key! โจ
- Conveyancing Crew: Support the handling of completion funds for property transactions (think purchase money, sale proceeds, and even those pesky Land Transaction Tax payments!). You'll also help confirm cleared funds and prepare financial statements from an accounting perspective. ๐ก
- Private Client Pro: Assist with postings and payments for our private client matters, such as probate and estate administration. You'll be a whiz at recording receipts, payments, and transfers accurately. ๐
- Compliance Champion: Learn and follow our firm's procedures for client money, approvals, and segregation of duties. You'll be helping to maintain clear audit trails and escalate any potential issues promptly. ๐ก๏ธ
- Learning the Law: Understand essential SRA rules, standards, and AML obligations when handling client money. ๐
- Billing Buddy: Help post bills, credit notes, and transfers, ensuring costs and disbursements are accurately linked to matters. You might even help chase down missing billing info! ๐งพ
- Admin Ace: Keep our records organised (both digital and paper!), handle account queries politely, and provide general support to the team, especially during busy periods. ๐ฅ๏ธ
- Apprenticeship Focus: Develop a solid understanding of legal accounting principles, client money handling, and the lifecycle of conveyancing and private client transactions. ๐ง
What You'll Bring:
